Industrial brigades and/or rescuers operating within small units and employees of industrial and municipal inshore rescue boat programs.

Description

At the end of this training, the candidate will develop his/her water rescue driving, search, and rescue skills with the use of a motorized craft. This training complies with the following standards: S-2.1 Occupational Health and Safety Act, S-2.1, r.13 Occupational Health and Safety Regulations, Construction Safety Code (CSTC), Canada Shipping Act, Life-Saving Equipment Regulations, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Coast Guard (2000), Small Craft Search and Rescue, Transport Canada, Boating Safety Guide, NFPA 1006, Technical Rescuer Professional Qualifications, NFPA 1670 Standard on Operations and Training for Technical Search and Rescue Incidents, NFPA 1983 Standard on Life Safety Rope and Equipment for Emergency Services

Evaluation

One 25-question written exam and an assessment of working knowledge: carrying out a rescue. The required passing grade is 80%. A supplemental exam is available.
