Who is this training for?

All workers who are required to enter a confined space. Certain related courses may be required, according to the hazards in your confined space: “Lockout,” “Fall Protection,” “Breathing Apparatus.”

Description

At the end of this training, the candidate will be able to perform a confined space entry. This training is based on LSST-S-2.1 RSST XXVI, CSA Z1006, and Académie des pompiers laws and standards.

Goals

  • Knowing the regulations for workers in confined spaces
  • Applying health and safety rules for workers in confined spaces
  • Understanding and filling out documentation required for confined space entry such as entry permits, special process permits, rescue plans, etc.
  • Understanding the risks associated with confined spaces
  • Detecting atmospheric risks
  • Understanding atmospheric, physical, and biological risks
  • Determining access points
  • Providing ventilation
  • Carrying out a safe entry

Evaluation

One 25-question written exam. The required passing grade is 80%. A supplemental exam is available. At the end of the training, a digital certificate, authenticated by Targe, will be issued for each candidate to attest that they participated and passed.
